SEEKING JOY WORKSHOP IN SOUTHERN ITALY W/ MCARTHUR AND AMY APRIL 21-30

This tour is a rich blend of culinary exploration, spiritual discovery, cultural immersion, and a transformative workshop with McArthur Krishna and Amy Watkins Jensen on the theme of “SEEKING JOY”. We will view Southern Italy through this theme and hold several discussions and one 2-3 hour workshop on this subject.

You’ll travel with a small, intimate group of just 14 people, creating an ideal environment to connect, share, and form new friendships.
The journey is intentionally active. Participants should be comfortable walking 6–8 miles per day on cobblestone streets and uneven terrain.
We begin in the vibrant chaos of Naples and gradually transition to the serene beauty of Puglia. The itinerary is designed to shift from high energy to a slower, more reflective pace. You can fly into Naples and out of Bari.

NAPLES: 3 nights Sirens, Saints & Superstition

Naples is a city of exhilarating contrasts, gritty yet magnificent, chaotic yet deeply soulful. Expect buzzing scooters, vibrant street art, and lively piazzas, balanced by legendary pizza and warm Neapolitan hospitality. A local guide will lead us on “The Sacred Mile,” a walking tour through stunning cathedrals and fascinating underground Greek and early Christian burial sites. Naples is a food Mecca so we will be sampling some of the highest ranked Pizzerias in the world and exploring the cities culinary treasures.
Naples has so much too offer that is often hidden to the casual observer. We will go deep into this city and explore its back streets and deep paradox.

MATERA: En route to Puglia, we’ll stop in the ancient city of Matera, one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements in the world (dating back over 8,000 years). We’ll explore its extraordinary cave dwellings (Sassi) and enjoy lunch in this remarkable UNESCO World Heritage site.

LECCE– 2 nights
Known as the “Florence of the South,” Lecce dazzles with its ornate Baroque architecture, Roman ruins, and Templar-era sites. We’ll stay in the heart of the historic center, where the famous golden-hued stone glows beautifully at night. We’ll discover the city on a guided bike tour, sample exceptional local gelato, and indulge in Puglian delicacies.

VALLE D'ITRIA – 4 nights
Our final four nights are spent at a beautiful boutique hotel nestled among centuries-old olive groves. From this peaceful base, we’ll take day trips to some of Puglia’s most iconic destinations including Alberobello (with its iconic trulli houses), Ceglie Messapica, Bari, and more. Highlights include savoring authentic local cuisine, a hands-on cooking experience in a local’s home, and our special “Becoming” workshop, held in this inspiring and tranquil setting.

Transportation: When the tour begins you are under our wing. We cover all ground transportation. In Naples we use metro or walk but When we leave Naples two shuttle vans will pick us up at our door and transport us door to door and wait on us. While in Puglia our shuttles pick us up for day tours and drop us off city center..
Food: ONE hand chosen Family meal each day (the best of local culinary traditional food in each city), Breakfast is usually covered at hotel (If not we will hit a cafe). All tours and guides on itinerary included.
The Package price includes only the items specifically listed in your itinerary:
Lodging begins in Naples the night of April 21 until the morning of April 30 in Cisternino.
Ground transportation from April 21 at noon until tour end the morning of April 30. We will also cover transportation should you need to go to airport or to nearby train station the day of April 30. Our hotel on the last day is in the country and not near a train station so we can also arrange that.

The unseen also included: Custom tour catered to this audience. Fluent Italian speaking guide (Casey), special connections with locals in their homes and home town. The hospitality of Southern Italy at our villa (some have said it's the best hotel they have ever stayed in) in Puglia is tops with one of the best breakfasts featuring all local and homemade cheeses, meats and pastries. Guides are chosen and customized for this tour with Amy and McArthur.

Cancellation Policy:
We highly recommend trip insurance, though it is not required. For more information, visit: Allianz Travel Insurance.

Deposit is Non-Refundable with exceptions (If you cancel at least 90 days before the trip and we are able to fill your slot, we will refund your deposit. Otherwise it's nonrefundable.)

Balance
* More than 180 days before departure: Full refund minus the deposit.
* If you cancel 60 days or less before departure: 50% of your package will be refunded.

Important Notes:
No refunds will be given for missed activities due to delays, weather, or personal choice.
You are responsible for ensuring you have valid passports, permits, vaccinations, and other required documents. Europe will be requiring a document starting fall 2026.
We are not liable for injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by third-party providers, strikes, weather, political events, or any other force majeure circumstances.
In the past, we refunded clients 100% of their deposits due to COVID-related issues; however, we cannot guarantee refunds of deposits in future circumstances.
Should you be sick during the trip, we’ll do all we can to support you, but the trip will need to carry on.
