GREECE: TEMPLES, MONASTERIES AND THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE April 7-April 16

Join friends of the That's Church Interfaith Initiative for a curated exploration of the rich intersection between mythology, philosophy, and Eastern Christianity.

This tour is an active walking tour. Participants must be able to walk comfortable for 6-8 miles on cobblestone streets and some hills.

Reliq Travel has designed this journey specifically for the spiritual explorer. We begin in Athens, discovering Mars Hill and the iconic Acropolis while enjoying Mediterranean cuisine at its very best. From there we travel to Delphi, once believed to be the center of the universe, home to some of Europe’s finest ancient ruins. We’ll pause for a full day at the dramatic clifftop monasteries of Meteora before flying to the island of Crete, where we’ll spend the rest of our journey exploring the deep roots of Ancient Greece.

Special Guests: While Reliq Travel manages all professional guiding, logistics, and travel arrangements, founders of That’s Church will join as special guests to facilitate community dialogue and shared reflection throughout the journey.

What's included:

Lodging: We cover the night of April 7 in Athens until check out April 16 in Crete.
Our first priority with lodging is location. We love to be able to walk right out of the hotel Into the action of city center. Europe has a different system for 4 and 5 star hotels so we don't really use that classification because a really great hotel can have 3 starts simply because it doesn't have a main lobby. Just know that our hotels are comfortable and clean and the equivalent to US 4 and 5 stars.

Food: WE TAKE FOOD SERIOUSLY! We cover ONE GROUP MEAL per day at a hand picked restaurant. It's usually sit down but it could be a food sampling tour depending on the city. If we do a cooking class the meal for the day is part of that. Breakfast is not guaranteed but usually included with hotel. Sometimes we simply go down to a cafe and have that European experience sitting at a cafe and that is not included.

Transportation: All ground transpiration is included once we meet up in Athens on April 7 until the tour ends April 16. You will be responsible for getting to the meeting point on time.
We use the metro and walk in Athens. When we leave Athens a private shuttle will pick us up at our front door and drop us in Delphi in front of our hotel.

Airfare is not included with the following exception: you are responsible for purchasing your plane tickets to Athens. The tour ends in Crete so we recommend booking a multi-city ticket that arrives in Athens and leaves Crete. WE COVER YOUR FLIGHT FROM THE MAINLAND GREECE TO CRETE.

TOURS: All tours on the itinerary are included in your price. If you choose to do other tours you will be on your own but we are happy to help.

Cancellation Policy:
We highly recommend trip insurance, though it is not required. For more information, visit: Allianz Travel Insurance.

Deposit is Non-Refundable with exceptions (If you cancel at least 90 days before the trip and we are able to fill your slot, we will refund your deposit. Otherwise it's nonrefundable.)

Balance
* More than 180 days before departure: Full refund minus the deposit.
* If you cancel 60 days or less before departure: 50% of your package will be refunded.

Important Notes:
No refunds will be given for missed activities due to delays, weather, or personal choice.
You are responsible for ensuring you have valid passports, permits, and other required documents. Europe will be requiring a document starting 2027..
We are not liable for injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by third-party providers, strikes, weather, political events, or any other force majeure circumstances.
In the past, we refunded clients 100% of their deposits due to COVID-related issues; however, we cannot guarantee refunds of deposits in future circumstances.
Should you be sick during the trip, we’ll do all we can to support you, but the trip will need to carry on.
